Design Process

MUXA Design Studio collaborated with Authorium to design and implement an integrated generative AI chatbot interface within their existing document editor, inspired by the intuitive features of Google Docs. Key components of our solution included:


  1. • AI Identification: A distinct AI icon to clearly mark AI-generated content.
  2. • Alert System: Notifications for accuracy and potential bias in AI-generated material.
  3. • Automatic Citations: Seamless integration of citations for AI-generated content.
  4. • Audit Trail: Secure tracking of content alterations for accountability.
  5. • User Controls: Access controls and mandatory review workflows for added security.
  6. • Plain Language Compliance: Ensuring alignment with government guidelines on clear communication.
  7. • Target Audience & Data Sources: Options to specify audience demographics and permissible data sources.


To ensure the solution’s effectiveness, we conducted extensive usability testing and iteratively refined the user experience based on feedback, aligning the final product with all specified user stories.


In addition, we designed a Tasks, Activity Log, and Notifications system.
